Ten Elements (Dasa Tattwa) In Garden Structure

Base on the methodologies of Dewa nawa sanga, the ten elements in garden structure are divided
into two basic elements which classified to be Five positive elements and five negative elements.
The positive (+) element influenced by nature factors and the negative (-) element influenced by
Human factors.
Five(5+) positive elements (Panca tattwa.+);1.Sun light,2.Weather condition (climate),
3.Soil structure,4.Water condition,5.Condition of location.
Five(5-) Negative elements(panca tattwa.-);6.Garden function,7.selected location,8.Type of
garden include of Hard and soft scape,9.Treatment and maintenance,10.Design and construction
management.
Although each of the two basic element are not similar, according to the concept of RwaBhineda
both of them are to be one unity and may not separated.
The most important element which are to be the part of the positive elements, represented by
Condition of location. Whereas for the negative elements, represented by Design and construction management. The unity of both represented elements were named by ;
"CONCEPT AND CHARACTER OF LANDSCAPE".

Wow! Didn't know there was so much preliminary study behind those gorgeous gardens... nice pictures! I'm not good with plants, I'd probably kill a cactus if someone entrusted me with one! ;)

P.S. You're right! I recall Mana saying in an interview once that they picked that name precisely for the Indonesian meaning (inner power) and not for the biblical reference (apperantly there is one) as most people think.... ;)
